Step by step

In the dashboard, open the machine's card and open its full panel.
In the System menu, open Default apps: the screen shows which program opens each file type.
For each type, pick the program and set it as default.
If Windows does not allow the change automatically, use the shortcut that opens Windows' own default apps screen.
